Uybontiong Agriventures proudly took part in the 31st Hog Convention and Trade Exhibits held at the SMX Convention Center in Manila from March 27 to 29, 2025. Organized by the Pork Producers Federation of the Philippines, Inc., this prestigious event gathered key players in the hog industry to promote collaboration, innovation, and sustainable solutions in response to ongoing challenges.

Strengthening Partnerships with Purina Feeds
One of the highlights of our participation was our visit to Cargill Philippines – Purina Feeds, a major sponsor of the convention and our key sponsor for attending. Their unwavering commitment to supporting the hog industry continues to be invaluable, providing high-quality feeds and innovative nutritional solutions that contribute to the growth and stability of hog production in the country.

Key Industry Leaders in Attendance
We were honored to be joined by several of our esteemed partner farms, including Former Congressman and Former Governor George Arnaiz and his wife. As a dedicated advocate for agricultural development and food security, his presence emphasized the importance of cooperation between industry stakeholders and policymakers in ensuring the resilience of the hog sector.

A notable moment during the convention was a meeting among our CEO, Chino Uy, the Chairman and CEO Alvin Hing of Excelsior Philippines, and the Chair of the Hog Producers at hte Cargill booth. This gathering underscored the strong cooperation among industry leaders in addressing the pressing issues facing hog farmers, such as disease outbreaks, market volatility, and feed supply challenges. The discussions centered on strategies for enhancing industry stability, strengthening biosecurity measures, and improving access to quality feeds and veterinary services.
